Like an iron vice I cling to you
You are my last hope for peace
Peace that I cannot attain
Attain the impossible and help me
Help me break the endless circle
Circle my heart with hope and light
Light the darkness and lead me from despair
Despair so deep and bottomless I cannot escape
Escape to the safety of your love
Love without pain or loss or fear
Fear is something I do not want
"Want" would be fulfilled by you
You I ask to keep me safe
Safe in your being for all eternity
Eternity would never be enough
