Special Skills and abilities: CIS Specialist and hacker History: Cassandrea Reina was born and bred in Salem, Massachusetts. Her mother's line dates back to the Salem Witch Trials, while her father is a second generation immigrant from Peru. Growing up in the extremly liberal community of Salem, Cassandrea was never persecuted or feared. Because of this, she does not always understand why mutants are feared and hated by normal humans. When her mutant powers manifested at the age of 14, Cassandrea's family was approached by Professor Charles Xavier. Cassandrea chose to stay in Salem where friends, family, and leaders of the local covens helped her explore and learn about her new gifts. Four years later, Cassandrea enrolled in the Xavier Institute for the Gifted. Under the tutilage of Professor Xavier and Ororo Munroe, Cassandrea was able to furthur push the boundries on her powers. While at the Institute, Cassandrea finished her final year of high school and enrolled in Sarah Lawrence College. Though she is not on the main X-Team, she did participate in the mission to rescue her roommate, Sarah Carmody, from the Brotherhood. Cassandrea became involved with Kurt Wagner, a relationship that is in jeopardy because of recent events: Cassandrea was abducted by Ben, a student at Sarah Lawrence who was secretly a mutant. Though she was rescued by a small group of friends (Sarah, Max, and Rogue among them), the experience has jaded her view of Xavier and the Institute. Cassandrea left the Xavier Institute without informing anyone of her decision and is currently under the instruction of Emma Frost at the Hellfire Academy in Massachusetts. Mutant Power: Hydra possesses the mutant ability to manifest and manipulate liquid water, much like Bobby "Iceman" Drake does with ice. After much practice, she can now tranform her body into water and sustain that form for up to 3 hours.
